Hey guys. I spent last night answering as many messages as I could. I woke up today to thirty or so more. I will do my best to keep answering them. A brief summary, though, for everyone:

If you are feeling depressed, suicidal, experiencing extreme anxiety, or anything like that please talk to someone. You’re more than welcome to talk to me but I can’t help all of you. I’m only one person. I got some very scary messages last night and it breaks my heart that you guys are hurting. Please talk to a professional, a close friend, or an adult. 

If you are angry, I understand. If you are disappointed, I understand. You are allowed those feelings. They’re valid. 

Please don’t ever forget that television and movies are a lie. Queer girls are special, powerful, and live long happy lives all the time. Your lives will be more than those of the characters you see on television. Queer girls are heroes. They change the world and they fall in love or maybe they don’t. They live in the world. Every day. All of you do. Please keep doing that. If the characters you love can’t, do it for them. Keep living. Be a hero, fall in love, get your heart broken, break hearts, have great sex, change the world, have kids if you want them, have generations of a family, write your story on this universe. Queer girls live. Even when our television counterparts don’t. 

Maybe it is cheesy or ridiculous and you all want me to be quiet but Lexa isn’t wrong. Her spirit lives on. The spirit of every fallen queer hero lives on, every day, in all of you. Let her still inspire you, let their love still warm you, let their stories teach you. Carry them with you. It’s not comforting to just say ‘someday” and “i hope.” I know that. But right now, unfortunately, it’s all we can do. I do hope that someday it’s better. I do hope that all of you pull through this as best as you possibly can. I hope that you know that you I firmly believe, I will meet Lexa again, as she lives in all of you.
